Project AO SAOCOM OCEAN IAFE/CONAE 2016/2018 (SAOCOM Mission): CHARACTERIZATION OF OIL SPILLS USING SAR POLARIMETRIC TECHNIQUES
The objective of the project is to exploit polarimetric data to characterize oil spills. In particular, it is proposed: the development of polarimetric techniques based on SAOCOM data for the estimation of the volumetric oil content in an oil spill; The laboratory study of the characterization and discrimination capacity of natural and anthropic spills based on optical and microwave data in optically complex waters; The study of the possibility of classifying spills (petroleum vs. natural oils) based on polarimetric techniques based on SAOCOM and CosmoSky Med data; and the analysis of product errors.
Convenio CONICET(IAFE)/CONAE 2014/2016 (Misión SabiaMar): EVALUACIÓN DE LAS DISTINTAS COMPONENTES DE LA RADIACIÓN SOLAR QUE LLEGAN AL SENSOR PARA EL ESTUDIO DEL COLOR DEL MAR: SU APLICACIÓN EN LA COSTA OCCIDENTAL DE OCÉANO ATLÁNTICO.
El objetivo de este convenio es, en el marcado de la futura Misión satelital Argentina-Brasilera SABIA-Mar, simular la reflectancia que llegaría al tope de la atmósfera en las bandas espectrales del sensor SABIA-Mar teniendo en cuenta diferentes condiciones atmosféricas típicas del Atlántico Sudoccidental, geometrías de observación e iluminación del SABIA-Mar y reflectancias típicas de los diferentes tipos de aguas que pueden encontrarse en la plataforma continental Argentina y talud a partir de simulaciones numéricas y datos de campo.
