In image 2, several protuberances can be seen in the solar corona.<\/p><p>Dr. Mandrini, a researcher at IAFE (Solar Physics), coordinated the Valcheta node during the event.<\/p><p>Solar protuberances are structures of dense and cold plasma (compared to the solar corona) that emerge from the photosphere and are associated with mass ejections.
