MEOC CAMPAIGN
MORETON / EIT OBSERVING CAMPAIGN

SUMMARY
During the last Workshop of CME 's that took place in Elmau, Germany the past March it has been decided to organise a campaign in order to study the characteristics of the Moreton and EIT waves and the phenomena associated to them.
At that time, several observatories as Nançay Station, EIT/SOHO, SXT (YOHKOH), HASTA (H-Alpha Solar Telescope for Argentina) and Kanzelhöhe Observatory expressed their intention to participate.
SCIENTIFIC GOALS
We intent to observe the corona before and after a CME, in order to detect a possible relation between this phenomena and the Moreton and EIT waves. With observations performed in the H
a wings, employing EIT differences images and studying radio and SXR signatures we pretend to analyse their behaviour. We also hope to receive observational contributions from other observatories interested in this subject.
Observing Period
Starting Day= November, 6th, 2000
Finishing Day= December, 8th, 2000
