The main
research field of this group is to investigate Galactic SUPERNOVA REMNANTS and
the surrounding INTERSTELLAR MEDIUM, based on observational grounds. The goal of
this study is the comprehension of the SNR-ISM mutual interaction. About the picture: Pictography of the Anasazi culture (200-1300 a.C.) in Chaco Canyon, South-West of USA. The star possibly represents the Supernova of 1054 (now Crab Nebula). It is believed that the anaszi people were experienced astronomers.
To carry out our investigation we use different radiotelescopes from USA, Canada
and Australia, as well as NASA and ESA orbital telescopes.
Our team maintains strong bounds with many international SNRs research groups.
